Presentation of the DAMA Device - Milan
The DAMA (Disabled Advanced Medical Assistance) device encompasses specific hospital care for people with multiple disabilities at the San Paolo University Hospital in Milan since 2001 and it’s transposed in 12 other hospitals in Italy.
This device was presented by Manon Vulcano and Marion Miller, liaison nurses of the ISCAO of the Oncodefi Association, on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Palliative Care and Intellectual Disability
The Association Oncodéfi hosted Ms Laetitia Barroso-Probst, specialist in palliative care for people with intellectual disabilities, at a conference entitled "Palliative care for people with intellectual disabilities in the context of cancer".
The featured topics included a treatment plan in the event of a vital issue, palliative care training for professionals in socio-educational institutions, and palliative care resource persons in socio-educational settings.
Ms Laetitia Barroso-Probst, of the palliative association vaud de Lausanne, has been a specialist educator for over 11 years. She teaches in French-speaking countries outside Switzerland (Canada, Belgium, etc.). As a representative of Switzerland she participated in the elaboration of the European white paper on palliative care for people with intellectual disabilities. This booklet is available free of charge online.

Sharing Medical Information
Mister Thierry Casagrande is a lawyer (Nice, Lorient) specialising in legal issues concerning health, particularly in relation to professionals in the medico-social sector. He gave a lecture-debate on the sharing of medical information.This conference focused on implications for the support of residents with intellectual disability, and in particular the rights of professional carers to access medical information.

Pain and Somatic Care
On the occasion of his visit to Montpellier, Dr Djéa Saravane gave a lecture on pain and somatic care for people with intellectual disabilities. The theme encompassed practical aspects and care.
